I want to extend the stay for my Parents for few months. They are on visitors visa. I am aware that I need to file form I - 539 for this purpose. I am not sure what reason should I specify for extention?
If some one had done extention for visitors visa in past please, I would appereciate your help on this.

Also, dont specify Medical emergencies. They sometimes ask you to provide letters from the doctors regarding this. You can just say that they need some more time to visit places.
Ideally, I wouldnt recommend, having them overstay. This might have issues in the future, if they plan to visit again.
If they have a 5 or 10 year multiple entry visas, they can go back home and come again in another 6 months or so.

The last report was somewhere in September 2007. Good to see that they have cleared July 07 bump in processing the 485s. they have nearly taken 29 months to clear it up.

If the I-94 was not given a full year's validity due to passport expiring within a year, Is the I-94 still valid after its expiry?
As far as I-94 goes it will expire but since you are already in AOS status, it really does't matter.

Hi all
My I-485 is pending(EB-3,India)since 2007. I changed employer & successfully ported PD on new I-140 approval in EB-2 category. My PD is in Oct 2006 & I expect that to become current in the coming few months.
Now, I need to do Interfiling to link my pending I-485 to my new I-140.
(1) What all documents/wordings are required for interfiling? Can someone pls provide a checklist?
(2) Who should do Interfiling- Myself or "Attorney of File" on my original I-485 or my current attorney (who did my new I-140)?
(3) Can I send my Interfiling request to USCIS even before my PD becomes current?

Yes, she can travel on H4 stamping. Also let her carry AP if need arises.
I am on H1 (Has EAD but never used it), my wife is on H4 and also she has H4 stamping till Feb 2010, She got EAD and and also got SSN. But she never worked on EAD. Now she want to travel to India

This is simple posturing and nothing more. Hispanic caucus CANNOT bring down healtcare reform. They have as much invested in the healthcare bill as anybody else in the Congress. They way I see it, this equates to a sucide threat if my friend won't shot at the enemy. So before I-485 becomes current, as long as I-140 gets approved, then we are okay to lose current job, either laid off or change job? I think I-140 approval doesn't take long, right? It's just I-485 takes forever?
I'm quite new to this process. My employer just filed Labor Certificate last week. I'm also a little worried if my employer goes bankruptcy some day.

A startup in the area filed for my PERM and it was approved in June 2010. Right now, they are in a mess about their tax returns and reauditing with their CPA and it seems that they will not be able to provide tax statements for this year end.

could'nt have put it better myself. B1 and H1 has direct impact on the businesses in India (who are BTW paying lobbyists to influence ministers and trade groups to make such requests to increase the visas). Why does anyone in India care what the EB visa limit it?
