well, i'll agree with the majority that say it doesn't seem too hopeful. however i'll also say.... what do you have to lose? i don't know of a "best" approach, but it seems ideally that you go in there to buy something, she's there.... you get her to help or at least not run away. and after you buy something (or at least prove interest in the store besides seeing her), you ask her if she'd like to hang out sometime.... preferably in the course of a conversation, but worst case, get your questions answered and move on.

Apple is hosting a Special Event (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060914090209.shtml) today at Photokina. The invite-only media event was first reported (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/08/20060821202913.shtml) in late August after members of the UK Press received invitations.
Details on the media event have been particularly scarce, but it is believed the event is currently taking place in Colonge, Germany.
There does not appear to be any live coverage for this event on the web. We will provide links or updates as they are received.

Will the Lion Server allow me to keep one set of data accessible from my iMac & MBP so they are basically working with only one set of files? I don't want to migrate data from my iMac to my new MBP because between the iLife projects I don't want them living on separate machines... I simply want to close iMovie or excel for example and pick right up where I left up on the MBP once I'm upstairs! I set up file sharing and accessing the iPhoto library from the iMac takes forever to load, nevermind the loss of certain features like location tagging and I've yet to get iMovie to open the iMac library without having it crash. I know I sound like an total moron here, but the good news is when it comes to computers, I am, and I've accepted that.;)

With iMovie I moved the local iMovie Projects and iMovie Events folders to the server and created an alias to them on the local systems where the folders used to be. I do like how they made it smaller, and if they can quiet down the dvd drive that would be very nice. Bigger hard drive is about time. My 20GB is full just from downloading maps for Halo and COD.
Installing games is the best thing they've done for the 360. Granted, yes, it does take up a good deal of space, but it makes the 360 sooooo much quieter. The fans on the 360 can be a little noisy, but the DVD drive certainly is the loudest thing. Installing takes that right out of the equation. I have almost all of my games installed on my Elite's 120GB, along with tons of DLC, and I still have over 30GB free. Having 250GB to work with will leave PLENTY of room for the future.

When I used a PC I used to use Cool Edit Pro, which then changed to Adobe Audition. So I'm delighted that they are creating a new product, particularly as I hate the only other real contender - Bias Peak.
I've been using Audacity, but it just not advanced enough sometimes.

I've heard that the older Arcade and Pro models are no long in production.
The older models are no longer being made, that is correct.
What is going to happen once they're no longer in stock?
My guess, as I stated earlier...

I hope it fixes the USB connection to Canon cameras. They broke it with 10.4.7. I'm still booting from my portable backup drive when shooting tethered (looks really pro on location).
I dread the going-backwards-sytem-reinstall BS tho, so that's what I have been doing.

In my opinion, Pages is not all that bad. It needs some tweaking and Apple has to fix some bugs. I'm sure Pages 2 will be a great app for everyone who wants to do basic wordprocessing and publishing without the limitations of TextEdit. I guess most people are disappointed with Pages because of the following two reasons:
a) Pages wasn't finished when it was released
b) Pre-MWSF rumours were talking about an MS Office replacement or killer so many people think of Pages as being a replacement for Word. But I think Pages was never intended to replace Word, it's more like iMovie vs. FCP/FCE.

What is pissing me off at this stage is not that the console launches tomorrow or fears over shortages etc, it's the fact that 95% of the launch titles haven't even made it to review which is never a good sign.

DVD's are obviously pretty profitable or they wouldnt bother selling them, so what they are saying is if the movie companies let Apple sell movies they are gonna cut off their noses to spite their face and pull a really profitable sales line? I dont think so - ********* idiots.

This doesn't help when Best Buy and Target and Wal-Mart sell them at 19.95 for the very first week! I'm lucky if I make 5 bucks on DVD sales...then factor in shipping costs of the DVD's.

For what it is worth I plan on TRYING to write lab reports with Pages this quarter. We'll see how they go. But I'll make a template of the basic report and just Change thing in it to make them unique. I think it should work.

If this was based on network traffic, They would stop sales in stores too. There are more than enough AT&T stores in NYC and other places like Bestbuy that New Yorkers can easily just walk or take a quick subway ride too. Stopping online sales will not deter any New Yorker from purchasing an iPhone.
Fraud seems like a reasonable explanation, anyone who believes otherwise is reaching for the stars.
