CD-RW, not CD-RX. I'm sorry:o It says "Burning the disk failed because this type of CD is not supported. Error: 0x80020043. What am I doing?
Heather
Heather, what is "CD-RX?" I've never heard of that format. Is that interchangeable with CD-RW? The latter is the standard read-write format supported by most burners....

Probably pay-as-you-go as well, just like iTunes.
What, $0.99 a call everytime? ;)

I took three quarters of PhotoShop in my design program at a community college. For me, classes trump books and the Net combined.

Do you know what a tetherball is?
What's the difference between a tetherball and a ball? A cord\cable\string.
Tethered = when you reboot it has to be connected to your PC
Untethered = when you reboot it doesn't have to be.
You should google the question next time, don't be lazy.
Calm down.

Did you try resetting Safari? Rebooting? Deleting the Safari .plist?
Reset it, rebooted, checked for permissions, even run disk warrior.... nothing changed

Yes first post. VPN is VPN. setup it up and see if it works. If you go abroad you will most likely need proxy server since ABC and netflix apps are not home specific like cablevision app

Tempted - what boot loader is on it (what firmware was it when it was out of the box)? What week number is on it (4th and 5th digits of the SN).
Week 38. The original firmware was 1.0.2 I think. It was the firmware right before 1.1.1, whichever one that was. And it's currently on 1.1.3.

And why not? The Kinect sold in record numbers, the PS3 is playing catchup, and the 360 recently outsold the Wii.
Kinect is fastest selling electronic on record (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12707160)
Xbox 360 Outsells the Wii in February (http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/xbox-360-outsells-wii-in-february/)
Xbox Division sees 86% Profit jump with $8 Billion profit. (http://www.industrygamers.com/news/xbox-division-sees-86-profit-jump-as-microsoft-sells-63-million-360s-during-holidays/)
Kinect outselling Playstation Move 5:1 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/293295/news/kinect-outselling-move-51-pachter/)
Why would they walk away from that when they are the 'Big Daddy' of the console market.
You misunderstood my post. I meant that I don't see another hit consumer product for Microsoft in their future, not that they would walk away from xbox.

For performance and quality nothing beats a US Robotics external modem. There is a reason they a $300. The worse your phone line is the more reason not to get an internal. Internal modems just cant compete.
I odnt really know if USR offers a solution for your system. If not try multi-tech.

Yeah, just leave it open. Perhaps you are under the windows mentality that it is bad to leave apps open.
Somewhat :) I have 1.25 GB RAM so it shouldn't be a problem...
Maybe I am just a neat freak

There's a timing issue here.
While LTE is out, it's not widely deployed yet. Cores of cities are being covered, but many markets don't have coverage yet (true for me personally - my "market" has coverage, but only where I work and not on the commute home, or at home).
Mobile chipsets for LTE are also power-hungry today.
When do you push to have LTE in your handset? Sure, Verizon may be pushing it, but until a device can meet Jobs's's's high bar for performance, I don't see a shift just yet.
Perhaps a delay to September makes things clearer to Apple. Perhaps there's a new chipset coming from QC which doesn't suck space and power (and generate a lot of heat in the process).
September also allows for a bunch more expansion of LTE, specifically VzW here in the states.

They've been using function buttons around a screen in aircraft displays for some time now:

Leave it up to Apple to take it a step further and give it to the masses.
I can't wait to order one...

In the advent of "smarter" smartphones I see no need for portable systems (for me at least).
Nintendo and Sony should take note (with the Xperia Play it seems at least Sony* have already).
*SonyEricsson really.

The short answer is: accumulation of rounding errors.
It's obviously a bit sad that the internal algorithms of spreadsheets can't even get such simple calculations as the ones in the above examples truly right.
But the underlying problem is that they are basically ignorant of the underlying maths. They do not understand that a whole number multiplied by 0.2 can never result in a number with more than one digit after the decimal point.
For reliable number-cracking you need something like Mathematica (this is not meant to be an ad, although I happily confess that I saw this Excel stunt being performed by a guy named Wolfram).
UPDATE: I just checked the spreadsheet functionality of Pages. It's no better than its competitors.
The same thing also happens if you use numbers of the type 'float' in many programming languages.
The above-mentioned example in PHP:
$j=0.2;
for($i=1; $i < 30; $i++) {
