Ever try to use your 15" MBP sitting in a center seat of the coach section of a commercial airliner?
Isn't that why the MBP is available in a 13" size?

indeed in china but not if all of them do it.
It does not have to be China, i am pretty sure i would sack everyone that worked for me if i was running a factory in the USA and get away with it. You just can't be so obvious about it.

Evening,
Today I came back home and for unimportant reasons had to reset my router. I added WPA2 Personal encryption. After doing this, I noticed that my internet speed was crawling.
I unplugged cable/router but to no avail. I then did a sanity check and plugged my laptop into the Ethernet port on the router and sure enough, a much better speed was had.
For fun, i reset the router again, and this time just ran a test using factory settings. Sure enough, the speed on wifi is terrible. At this point, I'm out of ideas.
Anyone have any suggestions on what may be going on and how I can fix the problem? For those who didn't bother to read - I HAVE unplugged and then plugged back in both cable box and router and had no success.

For the love of God, people: bass quantity does not equal bass quality. Also, I think it's very funny that somebody wants to get good headphones and is willing to spend a whopping 28 or 32 dollars! :o

Aquaria looks like it would be very similar to SketchFigher... except be underwater...
I'm curious to see what this "intuitive mouse control system" happens to be. I typically hate using mice.

One of the things I've always liked about higher res monitors is that my palettes and toolbars are very small. Thus I can fit more palettes on the screen at one time and not have them get in the way.
I hope resolution independence doesn't make my palettes huge, like they look on lower res monitors.

Leave it up to Apple to take it a step further and give it to the masses.

From the arstechnica site:
PPC Checker v 2.61 reports the DP 867 CPU as:
PowerPC 7455
(Apollo 6, rev2.1)
SOI G4 plus
PVR=0x80010201
While the 1.25 ghz comes up as:
PowerPC 7455
(Apollo 6)
Unknown Rev
PVR=0x80010302
Quite interesting. Anyone know if this 7455 revision has DDR signaling?

I can't believe 3G is new for the Americans.
Land of the free indeed....:p
Yep, free to use a phone as a phone. I travel a lot to Europe and therefore do have T-mobile for GSM compatibility but overall the main difference I find is cultural - in the US many many more people use the phone as a phone only, which is my preference as well. I want a very small phone and therefore there is no way I would use the screen and/or keypad for anything but a phone. 3G has no real appeal for me and the cost of phone service in Europe I now find attrociously expensive, even if I get local sims. It is so expensive to call between countries. I assume this is to support 3G/WAP/etc. for which I have no use.

Hi.
Can I "dual boot" and have bootcamp-Windows on one screen and OSX on another? Or when using Bootcamp do I HAVE to choose one or the other?
It would be awesome to have the power/stability/support of bootcamp and have OSX running at the same time.... and just use "spaces" to toggle around.
Also, is Windows 7 the preferred OS to use now? I have been using XP for a long time and am ready to upgrade, but have no idea what to get.

I have a Mac+ still and there is no way I would sell it. I have sold a Mac IIvx and a G4 Quick Sliver but that was for Money to buy the next Mac (currently a G5 iMac). I gave my Rev-A iMac to a girl I dating at the time.... but I think that was because of her WoW factor.

Hey y'all. I just bought a new double din Navigation head unit for for car. One of the many media features is that it excepts a micro SD card. What I would like to be able to do is create a micro SD card from my Mac.
A micro SD card is a physical product. Your Mac is not a factory. If you mean you want to disassemble your Mac and create a micro SD card from the components I would advise you not to do that as it will significantly devalue your computer.
It will make much more economic sense to buy a new micro SD card, for which you will need a card reader that accepts rather than than excepts the format.

I have a PB Ti G4 (Model: M8592LL/A) with the original Airport card. I cant get this to connect to WPA networks. WEP wireless works fine.
When I have a network set as WPA the PowerBook sees the network and when I attempt to join it recognizes it as a "WPA Personal" network, however I cannot join the network at all.
Is there anything I can do for this? Do I have to buy an Airport Extreme card??

The firmware Version: 4.2.1
Model: MB702LL
but the baseband version not provided buy the seller:eek:
Use redsn0w to jailbreak it, then you can find out the baseband. Most likely, you will have the 05.16 baseband which can't be unlocked it.
Here is the link on how to jailbreak your phone;

Greetings fellow Mac users,
I have a problem with my Dell 1110 laser printer (AKA Samsung ML-1710). In Snow Leopard, it would print fine, but in Lion, for whatever reason, it displays the message "/usr/libexec/cups/filter/rastertospl failed". I navigated to the file, and it would not run due to it having PowerPC code. Is there any way to recompile that part of the driver in a code suitable for Lion, and if not, is there anyway to find another driver that is compatible with Lion and the ML-1710?
Thanks,
FNH

Office for the Mac will be a fixture. This is business, not high school slander wars. If the balance of money invested in R&D on a product vs. sales that turn a profit is lucrative, there will be a product.
For Virtual PC.... to invest the R&D in a product no one would buy would be stupid.
For Office.... even with Apple's lower PC market share, think this:
5 million copies X $200 = $1 billion in sales.
I don't know how many copies of Office for Mac Microsuck actually ships, but there are 10 million+ mac users... and I think a great majority of us need Office for work in some capacity.
