    I've found this site to be very helpful so far and would like to ask for some opinions on my case.

    My I-485 (EB2) was submitted in 2007 and the PD is approaching, only 5 days away based on June's VB. My girlfriend is currently with F-1 visa and we are planning on getting married asap so that she can submit her 485 before my case is approved.

    Here's the complete list that I can think of based on the research that I've done.

    Documents that my future wife's need prepare

    I-485 form
    birth certificate
    marriage certificate
    medical exam
    passport pages (I-94 card ect)
    I-20 form
    Two photos


    Documents that I need prepare

    My I-485 receipt
    ????

    It is very important to get married before your GC is approved. Even if you are 1 day late, you cannot file I-485 or follow to join. So its better to get married before June 1st to remove any such risk. Good luck!

    President Barack Obama is inviting members of Congress to the White House for a June 8 meething to highlight immigration reform, an administration official confirmed to POLITICO Wednesday.

    "The meeting will be an opportunity to launch a policy conversation that we hope will be able to start a debate that will take place in Congress later in the year," the official, who asked not to be named, said.

    Asked if the session would be billed as a summit or a forum, like similar meetings on health care and fiscal responsibility earlier in the year, another official said, "This isn�t a forum or a summit with outside groups, this is solely a meeting with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and both sides of the issue."

    Another aide said about possible labels for the meeting: "I don't know that we're going to brand this in any particular way."

    During a meeting in March with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Obama promised to host a public event on immigration, as POLITICO reported at the time. The New York Times reported last month that officials said the session would take place in May, but POLITICO reported yesterday that the timetable seemed to have slipped. Sources close to the process said it was delayed by various logistical issues, including focus on a possible Supreme Court pick next week.

    Immigration reform advocates have been pressing Obama to vow to pass immigration reform this year. He has promised make the issue a priority, but has stopped short of setting a goal of getting a bill through Congress by December.

    Hello All,

    I have my EAD as does my wife. We are still on valid H1s (until 2009) and I have no plans to change my employer. We also received our travel documents. The question I have, and need your input on is can my wife travel (to India) and back on her H4 (even though we've filed for adjustment of status) or does she have to use her Advance Parole to do so?

    I was jsut curious.

    It is possible. There is a relatively unknown technique called TT (abbreviation for Time Travel) which is also relatively related to relativity. When applied correctly, it is more effective than PD recapturing and labor substitution. That's how I got my green.     We hired a scientist with O-1 visa two year ago (company provided all the documents). This scientist applied green card (EB-1) last year. This week he recived a letter rejecting his application. The reason is not about his personal qualification but is about the company. Letter says company had no publications although we provided the copies of US patent applications.

    We are a small R&D company with no budget for and work plan for any kind paper writing. Can INS use "without publication" as the only reason to turn down the EB-1 type application?

    This scientist is very important to our company. What shoul we do to let INS reconsider this decision?

    Incase there was adelay in degree due to backlogs what information has to be entered in section 17 DS-157
    enlisting of all educational institutions attended" section on DS 157 form, I completed my degree late due to backlogs .i.e. I was supposed to complete it in 1996-2000 but I completed it in 2005 due to backlogs and since I had started a job already during my studies.

    Now i am confused weather I shall put 1996-2006 or 1996-2000 on dates of attendance of my university in DS 157?

    Please help !

    You can say like....around Oct-15-2007 or so. This letter is on top of Passport, birth certificate and PR card.

    I dont think this is going to affect non immigrant community (read as H1s, GC etc). This is all about politics to gain the support of rich and influential Indian American community for the DNC and upcoming elections.

    This is what politicians do, be it the US or India or any place on earth. BHO is one of them, isnt he? :cool:
